Considerable scholarship has been dedicated to what has been defined as the medieval "Platonic tradition". This volume is not intended to provide an exhaustive account of Medieval Platonism, but to offer new perspectives on specific yet hitherto unexplored or less studied episodes related to the history of Plato and his philosophy in the Middle Ages. The seven papers in this volume explore sources, works, and theories that form part of the Platonic heritage in the Middle Ages: Augustine's libri Platonicorum, the Platonism of the early Arabic-Latin translators of twelfth century, the dissemination of Henry Aristippus' translations of Phaedo and Meno, Thomas Aquinas' attitude toward Timaeus, Berthold of Moosburg's reading of Nemesius Emesenus' De natura hominis and Macrobius' Commentum in Somnium Scipionis, and the debate between Nicolaus Cusanus and Johannes Wenck.
